Mapping the Development of Autism Specific Creative Spaces: An Auto-ethnographic Qualitative Enquiry.

My work explores various creative spaces that are facilitated for autistic artists and creatives by gathering information from the organisers of autism spectrum (AS) creative spaces and from personal/ professional experience.

Subtitles available.

*The art work on the videos above is created by Gala Tomasso using a background text from Flynn and Nitsch’s (1980) '‘Normalisation, Social Integration and Community Services’.

I have made the supporting material available on multiple formats from YouTube to google slides. This is because we use our computers in different ways and technology sometimes suits different platforms etc. Below is a Google slide presentation (video links) which is also available from Miro via QR code. All video’s and references are available via QR code in the thesis.

Gala’s thesis looks at existing  creative spaces, facilitated for autistic artists using current literature, auto-ethnography, visual reference and respondent questionnaire data.

Any questionnaire responses were confidential so respondents could offer as much or as little information as they saw fit.

You can contact me at projectgalarama@gmail.com.

Many Thanks

Gala
